A&A Drilling Ltd

ABOUT US

During 2006, A&A Drilling was formed by Andy Jones and Tony Rigg
after working together for a number of years with another local drilling company.
To date, we have each gained over 25 years of drilling experience with
continuous tube sampling, super heavy weight (63.5kg hammer) dynamic probing undertaken within a wide
range of site investigations.
In total, up to the end of 2015, we have
successfully completed over 2500
continuous tube and dynamic probe sites.
We are proud of our health and safety record
with no days lost for injuries to ourselves, staff
or fellow workers.
Insurance cover… Public liabilities.up to £5,000,000…covered by our insurance
company.
Although we are based in the North East of England, we have taken our track-mounted drilling rigs on many sites through-out the
United Kingdom:
From London and the Home Counties, to
Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and
Northamptonshire. Our main works are within or around London or Milton Keynes. However we are frequently in Wales, and before now we have traveled up north to Scotland.
We have worked in many brownfield residential developments for housing and flats including
searching for potential chalk mining or subsidence, desiccation of clay ground near
trees and determining the extent of
historical limestone or ironstone wells or mine workings.Other works have included
road, rail and chemical sites
again working through-out England and Wales.
Our continuous tube soil samples can be used
by our clients for a range of laboratory index
testing including natural moisture contents,
Atterberg limits, soil suction, particle size
distribution and sulphate and pH.
